Emma Marks
Planning, Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning Manager
As a Planning, Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning Manager with Managing for Results (MfR), Emma leads the adoption of WRI's M&E system, DevResults, and provides technical support to teams across WRI including facilitating theory of change workshops, developing PMEL plans, creating data collection tools, and developing quality indicators for work related to gender and social equity, environmental justice, human wellbeing and poverty.
Before joining WRI, Emma worked as a Research Analyst for S3IDF, an 'impact-first' impact investing nonprofit based in Cambridge, MA, and Bengaluru, India working on waste management and agriculture projects. She also did a stint working for an ag-tech startup in Boston.
Emma holds an M.A. in Global Environmental Policy from American University's School of International Service and a graduate certificate in Environment & Sustainable Development from the University for Peace in Costa Rica.
Emma received her B.A. in International Development and Social Change from Clark University where she designed a concentration in Environmental Protection and Food Systems.
In her spare time, Emma enjoys cooking plant-based dishes, bouldering, pottery, and exploring anywhere her bike will take her.
