Emilia is the Publications Coordinator for the Research, Data, and Innovation team. She coordinates the administrative aspects of the peer review process for all WRI-branded knowledge products.

Prior to joining WRI, Emilia worked as the environmental science intern for UN Environment's North America office. There she worked to progress Circular Economy initiatives in Canada and the United States. Emilia has also previously worked for the Institute for Resilient Infrastructure Systems based out of the University of Georgia and interned for the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta's sustainability team.

Emilia holds a dual M.S. in Environmental Management & Sustainability from both the University of Malta and James Madison University. She received her B.S. in Environmental Engineering from the University of Georgia. Emilia lived on the sunny island of Malta while receiving her Master's where she focused her research on system dynamics modeling for Malta's waste system.

Emilia lives in Washington D.C. and likes to spend her free time thrift shopping, enjoying the outdoors (if it's warm), and spending time with friends.
