Eirini Pitsilidi
Head of International Policy, FOLU
Eirini Pitsilidi is the Head of International Policy for the Food and Land Use Coalition (FOLU), focusing on accelerating multilateral action on the transition to sustainable food systems. She brings over 15 years of experience and a strong track record in policy advocacy strategy, multi-stakeholder partnership building, and high-level engagement with United Nations bodies and national governments.
Prior to joining FOLU, Eirini acted as the Global Head of International Affairs at Compassion in World Farming (CIWF), where she led the organisation's international policy advocacy strategy and team, securing tangible policy outcomes, including commitments adopted in UNGA and UNEA resolutions, with a focus on sustainable livestock production, antimicrobial resistance and sustainable nitrogen management.
Earlier in her career, she worked in public affairs and strategic communications for multinational pharmaceutical companies across Europe.
She holds an MSc in Applied Animal Behaviour and Animal Welfare from the University of Edinburgh.
Eirini loves jazz and contemporary dance. She is an enthusiastic gardener and passionate about all things animals and their behaviour.
