Data Quality Analyst Ghana Cocoa Belt
Daniel Kwaku Owusu is the Data Quality Analyst Ghana Cocoa Belt with the Global Restoration Initiative, where he routinely provides guidance on collection of geospatial data for restoration champions per the TerraFund’s Monitoring, Reporting and Verification (MRV) Framework.
Prior to this position, Daniel worked as Technical Lead and GIS consultant on GIS-related projects for Glean Society Network, LBG in Ghana. Here, he spearheaded the georeferencing of landmarks towards locally led “mapping beyond boundaries” project. He also led Community Participatory Mapping (PM) and the on-site implementation of the Payment for Ecosystem Services (PES) in Tano-Offin Forest Reserve, Ghana, as the Local GIS Expert for Alliance Bioversity International (CIAT).
Daniel holds a degree in Natural Resources Management from Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, (KNUST) and certificates in Project Management, Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Network Operations (UNIX & DNS) from Brainnest Consulting (Germany), Ghana Tech Lab. and Internet Society (USA) respectively.
In his spare time, Daniel loves to meditate and also joins Lions International- (Kumasi Royal Lions Club) in putting smiles on the faces of the less privilege in societies.
