Christine Mboya is the Strategic Communications Manager with the Restore Local team. She oversees communications and engagement efforts across Restore Local priority landscapes in Africa.

Christine has previously held the role of Communications Specialist for Restore Local Project, Greater Rift Valley Landscape.

Prior to joining WRI, Christine accumulated extensive experience as a communications specialist across diverse industries. Most recently, she worked at Viya Health, a social business by Population Services International, as Digital Specialist where she spearheaded communications, brand development, community engagement, marketing and partnerships in the Kenya market. Prior to that, she worked as Communications Lead at the Kenya Catalytic Jobs Fund.

Her expertise encompasses strategic communications, impact storytelling, social media, and writing and editing. Christine enjoys packaging project data into impact-driven narratives that amplify project success and resonate with diverse audiences.

She holds a Bachelor's Degree in Journalism and Mass Communication.

Outside of work, Christine finds joy in writing, travelling, and exploring cuisines from different cultures. She aspires to one day publish a bestselling novel.
