Caroline Golin, PhD, is Chief Growth and Policy Officer at NRG Energy Inc, where she focuses on driving the strategic execution of key business initiatives that support reliability and affordability as energy demand grows, including the expansion of data center opportunities and residential virtual power plant (VPP) programs. In this capacity, she will also lead NRG’s Government and Regulatory Affairs functions. She is also the Founder and CEO of Envision Energy Advisors. 

Previously, Caroline spent a decade at Google leading a global strategy team to shape markets and expand commercial opportunities to meet the company’s energy needs, including its most ambitious sustainability moonshot yet: achieving complete decarbonization of operations by 2030. Through new business models, novel partnerships, and market reforms, her team helped power the world’s digital infrastructure while accelerating grid decarbonization across the globe.

Caroline holds both a Master’s and PhD from the Georgia Institute of Technology and lives in Atlanta, Georgia, with her husband and four children.
