Ashni is the International Engagements and Compliance Manager, supporting WRI’s global work by ensuring international grants and engagements comply with U.S. and international legal frameworks, with a particular focus on regions such as China and India.

With seven years of experience in operations, grants management, and donor compliance, Ashni has managed and supported awards funded by USAID, GIZ, the U.S. Department of State, and the World Bank. She has worked closely across Development, Programs, Legal, and Grants & Contracts to strengthen compliance practices and improve alignment across teams and geographies.

As part of the Legal team, Ashni plays a key role in advancing compliance initiatives, including support on Foreign Agents Registration Act (FARA)–related matters and other regulatory considerations relevant to WRI’s international engagements.

Outside of work, Ashni enjoys reading, cooking, and travelling.
