Apoorva R is a Manager with the Climate program at World Resources Institute India, where she manages projects related to long-term climate strategies and people-centered transitions. She also contributes to research on land-water linkages in low-carbon development pathways.
Apoorva brings interdisciplinary research experience in water and sustainability to her role at World Resources Institute India. Previously, she worked at the Ashoka Trust for Research in Ecology and the Environment (ATREE). Her work experience spans hydrological monitoring/data acquisition, urban water, river basin diagnostics, and knowledge synthesis related to water, food, and agriculture. She has also worked briefly as an independent research and evaluation consultant for a philanthropic organization.
Apoorva holds a Master’s in Technology and Development from IIT Bombay and a bachelor’s degree in telecommunication engineering from PES Institute of Technology.
She resides in Bangalore and enjoys reading, watching plays, playing badminton, and cooking.
