Anu is a Graduate Intern with the Electric School Bus Initiative focused on vehicle-grid integration, managed charging and battery circularity.

She is an MPA candidate at Columbia University’s School of International and Public Affairs (SIPA), with a concentration in Climate, energy and environment. At SIPA, she was serving as a data analysis lead on a research project evaluating Hawai’i’s Geothermal expansion pathways for 100% renewable energy mandate and contributing to ongoing research and policy development efforts with Hawai’i State Energy Office. Prior to SIPA, she spent four years working at Invest India, Ministry of Commerce & Industry facilitating investments in EV startups across multiple stakeholder platforms spanning government agencies, private investors and industry. She also holds a PhD in Green Chemistry from the Indian Institute of Technology Delhi where her research focused on sustainable electrochemical energy storage for Li-ion batteries.

She brings a unique technical-policy-finance perspective to accelerating electric school bus deployment, drawing on her background in science, government stakeholder coordination, and clean energy investment facilitation.
