Anna Amato
Planning, Evaluation and Learning Manager, Managing For Results
Anna Amato is the Planning, Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning Manager for the Managing for Results team. She works to help staff throughout WRI design and monitor projects to focus on the most impactful outcomes.
Prior to joining WRI, Anna worked for the Independent Evaluation Group (IEG) of the World Bank Group, where she evaluated projects and sector-wide programs in water, urban development, energy, the environment, natural disasters and cultural heritage. Among the topics she has evaluated are the partnership between the World Bank and the Global Environment Facility (GEF), the World Bank's Integrated Water strategy, and the partnerships between the World Bank and energy organizations. She has also worked extensively with IEG's data systems. Outside of the World Bank, Anna conducted an evaluation for the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) on their solar energy program in Nigeria.
She holds a Master's degree in Public Administration from the University of Maryland with a concentration in Environmental Policy and a Bachelor's degree from New York University.
Anna lives in a cohousing community in Washington, DC and enjoys singing and speaking in different Southern Italian dialects.
