Angela Scafidi is a U.S. GIS and Engagement Intern in the Forests department to expand engagement for the US-based LEARN tool.

Prior to joining WRI, Angela worked as a contractor for the US EPA's Office of Research and Development, supporting research on how chemicals and pollutants affect human health. Angela graduated undergrad in May 2021 with B.A.s in Environmental Studies and Romance Languages from New York University. She is currently pursuing a M.S. in Geospatial Information Sciences from the University of Maryland.

Angela is excited about using geospatial data analysis to solve large-scale environmental challenges, and is eager to learn more and contribute to WRI's GIS work.
