Angela Scafidi
Research Analyst, US Lands and Land & Carbon Lab

Angela is a Research Analyst supporting the US Lands and Land & Carbon Lab teams with research, data and GIS analysis. Her work spans a range of topics, including analyzing the impacts of biofuels, engaging directly with US communities, estimating GHG emissions from forests and trees using the LEARN tool, and aiding in research on global GHG fluxes.
Prior to joining WRI, Angela worked as a contractor for the US EPA's Office of Research and Development, supporting research on how chemicals and pollutants affect human health. Angela holds two B.A. degrees from New York University in Environmental Studies and Romance Languages. She is currently pursuing a M.S. in Geospatial Information Sciences from the University of Maryland.
Outside of work you'll likely find Angela reading, crocheting, or out and about with friends in her home, Baltimore.
