Amanda Carter is a Research Analyst for Sustainable Investing on the Private Finance team.

Prior to joining WRI, Amanda worked in philanthropy and program management. She was an inaugural member of the Ford Foundation Mission Investments team, which houses the impact investing work of the foundation; including a legacy PRI portfolio, a $1 billion MRI fund and grant work intended to encourage inclusive capitalism. Amanda has also worked as a research fellow at New York University; and has interned with the United Nations Interregional Crime and Justice Research Institute in Turn, Italy and with a business diplomacy NGO in Geneva, Switzerland.

Amanda holds a B.A. in International Relations from Boston University and a M.A. in European Policy from New York University. In May 2022, she will also receive a Graduate Certificate in Social Finance from NYU Wagner School of Public Service.

Amanda lives in New York City with her husband, Tyler.
