Alicia Cypress is Managing Editor at World Resources Institute, where she manages Insights, the organization’s staff expert blog.
Before joining WRI, Alicia spent more than 25 years as a journalist mostly focused on digital editing, publishing, and content strategy at The Washington Post, National Public Radio, and USA Today’s Reviewed.
As a digital investigations editor at NPR, projects she edited were honored by prestigious journalism awards including the Peabody, Columbia University's Alfred I. duPont, and the George Polk Award. While at The Washington Post, she pioneered the first centralized climate and environment section on its website, and managed online business, technology, and science news.
In her free time, Alicia is a WSET-certified wine writer and loves learning about the people, land, and stories behind the bottles.
Alicia received her B.A. in Public Communication from American University in Washington, D.C., and currently lives in Bethesda, MD.
