Alex Dumont
Electric Vehicle Technical Assistance Intern, WRI Ross Center for Sustainable Cities
Alex Dumont works as the Electric Vehicle Technical Assistance Intern for WRI's Electric School Bus Initiative. Alex helps the technical assistance team in supporting school districts looking to acquire electric school buses.
Prior to joining WRI, Alex worked in various research and communications roles. As an employee of the University of Michigan's Global CO2 Initiative, Alex served as the policy lead on a project developing a novel carbon sequestration technology. In this role, he developed community engagement plans, reviewed available funding opportunities, and advised the team on applicable laws and regulations. In February of 2023, Alex and a small team from the University of Michigan concluded a project in collaboration with the U.S. Embassy in Reykjavik to analyze the effects of climate change on the Icelandic trade economy.
Alex holds a B.A. in Public Policy from the University of Michigan's Gerald R. Ford School of Public Policy.
