Budget Development & Proposal Risk Associate, WRI Ross Center for Sustainable Cities

Agostinha Depina is Budget Development and Proposal Risk Associate for WRI Ross Center for Sustainable Cities. She works to enhance the program’s ability to manage financial risk, carefully steward donor funds and support collaboration across all WRI offices.
Previously, Agostinha was Grants & Finance Specialist for WRI's Center for Equitable Development, where she managed the budget and operations for the Center’s $4.5 million grant supporting the Green Accountability Platform. In this role, she led process development for proposals, conducted complex due diligence, and developed and delivered training in multiple languages. She also drafted and monitored 30 international subgrants, ensuring donor and internal compliance.
Before joining WRI, she successfully managed the entire grant lifecycle and financial processes for various federal funds supporting career & technical education (CTE) programs for the Florida College Systems. She also co-led the STEM Starter Academy program in partnership with the Massachusetts Department of Higher Education, a government-funded initiative focused on recruiting, preparing, retaining and graduating a diverse student body in the STEM field.
Agostinha holds a B.A. in Communications and lives in Kissimmee, Florida, U.S.
