Senators John Kerry (D-Mass.), Joe Lieberman (I-Conn.) and Lindsey Graham (D-S.C.) have released a significant bipartisan framework for climate legislation.

Jonathan Lash, president of the World Resources Institute (WRI), issued this statement in reply:

“As hundreds of heads of state converge on Copenhagen next week, everyone wants to know how the U.S. Senate will act on climate change. Senators Kerry, Graham, and Lieberman's legislative outline is a hopeful sign that the U.S. is serious about protecting the climate and American prosperity.”
