The Brazilian Amazon needs a new restoration economy that benefits people, nature, and climate. Join WRI Brasil and our partner Sitawi for an invitation-only high-level breakfast to introduce Fundo Flora, a new partnership that will spark and scale economic and ecological prosperity.

Following an approach tested in Africa and India and building on decades of experience across Brazil, Fundo Flora finds the best cooperatives, non-profits, and enterprises that are restoring forests and farms across Pará Stata. It then funds their projects through creative partnerships and verifies their work by combining AI-backed monitoring innovations with tried and tested field techniques.

Join us on November 14 from 7:30 am to 9:30 am an engaging conversation with leaders from government, the private sector, and philanthropies.

We know Fundo Flora can’t do it alone, and we need your help to think through important questions as we build this new restoration economy together:

  • How can we best leverage flexible philanthropy to unlock more public and private capital in less time?
  • How can we set industry-wide standards and benchmarks that thousands of communities can adopt to spread high-quality restoration?
  • What would it take to make sustainable value chains, anchored on native species, more economically valuable than deforestation?
