Climate Adaptation in Family Farming: Successful Experiences in Brazilian Biomes

This event is being organized by the Ministry of Agrarian Development and Family Farming, with support from WRI Brazil and other partners. Family farming has developed innovative climate adaptation practices in different Brazilian biomes. Based on UNICAFES's mapping of sustainable practices and the accounts of family farmers, this panel will show how farmers are being impacted by climate change, successful experiences implemented by family farmers, highlighting how these solutions strengthen climate resilience in the territories, and how the three spheres of the Brazilian government can help farmers. The objective is to value concrete practices already underway and reflect on how public policies and partnerships can expand their reach.
