Accelerating Water Action: Ensuring Access and Strengthening Governance
WRI’s experts are closely following the UN climate talks. Watch our Resource Hub for new articles, research, webinars and more.
The objective of this event is to launch two Acceleration Plans under the COP30 Presidency’s Action Agenda on Water: “Ensuring Access to Safe Water for Communities in Vulnerable Situations” and “Water Management and Participatory Governance.” These initiatives embody a collective effort — a true “mutirão” — to accelerate action on water, climate adaptation, and mitigation, bridging local implementation with global ambition. Their purpose is to convene governments, international organizations, development banks, and civil society in a joint endeavor to translate commitments into tangible, measurable results on the ground.
