Turning Commitments into Action: P4G's Role in Scaling Climate Entrepreneurship in LMICs
Climate startups are essential for driving innovation and economic growth while tackling the world's most pressing environmental issues. But startups face major hurdles—too large for microcredit yet too small for international investors, coupled with regulatory challenges that hinder new solutions.
Despite the potential for investment, global capital flows into low- and middle-income countries (LMICs) are stifled by underdeveloped ecosystems. Partnering for Green Growth and the Global Goals 2030 (P4G) is collaborating with governments and organizations to change that.
WRI’s experts are closely following the UN climate talks. Watch our Resource Hub for new articles, research, webinars and more.
Since 2018, P4G has been tackling these issues head-on, offering grants and technical support to boost the investment readiness of early-stage climate businesses. P4G is also building National Platforms to strengthen entrepreneurial ecosystems in LMICs.
Gain insights on how to enable and accelerate climate partnerships at P4G's dynamic session "Turning Commitments into Action: P4G's Role in Scaling Climate Entrepreneurship in LMICs." Entrepreneurs and leaders from the public, private and philanthropic sectors will share key insights on enhancing local systems, reducing investment risks and unlocking opportunities for private sector involvement in climate startups.
