Pathways to Affordable Finance for Africa’s Energy Transition: Insights from African Energy Dialogues
At COP29, African Energy Dialogues (AED) will share findings and insights from the past year, focusing on three critical policy areas: finance and investment; technology and infrastructure; and enabling policy and regulation. This event will build on ongoing discussions about Africa’s energy sector, focusing on barriers, opportunities, and solutions to shape Africa’s energy future.
This event will explore how insights from AED can support African countries to accelerate their journeys toward sustainable and inclusive energy access.
The session is designed for policymakers, governments, investors, energy specialists, the private sector, civil society organizations, environmental advocates, and researchers actively engaged in climate change resilience, energy transition, and community engagement initiatives. The agenda will include a short presentation of the policy recommendations developed by the AED’s three working groups, followed by a moderated panel discussion.
