Brazil's climate leadership necessarily involves decarbonizing its industrial sector. A new era for Brazilian industry will demand increased activity in production chains based on principles of innovation and the creation of green, decent jobs. The launch of government programs such as New Industry of Brazil (NIB), the Ecological Transformation Plan (PTE), and the new Climate Plan will be essential for engaging the sector in reducing greenhouse gas emissions. However, it is crucial to discuss ways to overcome challenges so that the path toward a low-carbon economy can be effectively implemented. By bringing together representatives from the government, private sector, academia, and civil society, the panel will offer a relevant discussion with practical examples on the country’s green reindustrialization and how this reinforces the potential to attract investment.
