At COP29, the Mitigation Action Facility will release a Sectoral Decarbonisation Report, providing insights into sectoral climate strategies. Participants will learn about the Call for Projects 2025, offering new funding opportunities for climate solutions. The programme includes remarks from high-level speakers and a strong networking component to foster partnerships. WRI will also launch a new project with the Mitigation Action Facility and the African Guarantee Fund on financing and electrifying 2- and 3-wheelers in Kenya. The goal is to reach 15% market penetration of electric 2/3 wheelers nationally, reduce emissions by 1 million metric tonnes CO2, bolster local manufacturing and assembly of EVs by 85%.
