Demystifying Finance: Opportunities to Scale the Adoption of ESBs
The recent and unprecedented state and federal funding for electric school buses is cause to celebrate. Yet, grant programs alone are insufficient to drive the sector-wide transformation needed to electrify the U.S. school bus fleet. Financing provides a potential solution as it can extend public dollars and allow school districts to monetize future maintenance and fuel savings and apply these toward capital investments. In partnership, WRI’s Electric School Bus Initiative, the Alliance for Electric School Buses, and Clean Energy Works invite you to a fireside chat Wednesday, November 8, 2023, with green bank officials, school districts and finance experts to discuss how finance can complement current funding to scale school bus electrification.
Speakers:
- Margarita Parra, Director of Transportation, Clean Energy Works, Moderator
- Kris Hafezizadeh, Director of Transportation, Austin Independent School District
- Bert Hunter, Executive Vice President and Chief Investment Officer, Connecticut Green Bank
- Kirsten Stasio, Chief Executive Officer, Nevada Clean Energy Fund
