More than 50 years after the first Earth Day, we’re still learning what it will take to slow global warming and protect nature. Greenhouse gas emissions are at an all-time high. The global pandemic has illuminated just how fragile we are.

But we’ve learned so much in the past five decades. We have the knowledge and the technology now that can help us make real strides in reviving Earth’s natural resources. We can improve the lives of people and address inequities in our society. If we act now, if we work together, we can fix this.
