Webinar: Assessing Physical Climate Risks for the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development's Power Generation Project Investment Portfolio
Physical climate hazards can cause substantial disruptions to power production now and in the future. In this webinar, World Resources Institute (WRI) will introduce a new method to quantify physical climate risks for power generation projects at the portfolio level, with a pilot test of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development’s portfolio. This work demonstrates the benefits and challenges of moving towards quantification of physical climate risk, which is increasingly of interest as investors increase efforts to assess and disclose climate-related financial risks, in line with disclosure frameworks such as the Task Force on Climate-related Financial Disclosure (TCFD).
