Webinar: WRI's Green Climate Fund Contributions Calculator
The pledging conference for the Green Climate Fund’s first replenishment is rapidly approaching, and the time has come for countries to announce a new round of contributions to the GCF. But what is an appropriate level for countries to pledge to refill the Fund’s coffers?
To help governments, civil society and other interested observers understand what a country ought to pledge to the GCF's upcoming replenishment World Resources Institute created a Green Climate Fund Contributions Calculator. Using objective data on population, greenhouse gas emissions, and gross national income, our methodology calculates the threshold-level each developed country should contribute to the GCF’s first replenishment.
WRI’s Finance Center invites you to join a webinar, in which we explain the calculator and what this would result in as a potential pledge to the GCF from your country. After the presentation there will be time for Q&As.
