Cities Research Seminar Series: Rational Choices for Sustainable Urban Mobility
Luiz will present on the key issues driving changes that impact the implementation of sustainable transportation. Cities in the XXI century are the result of humanity’s historical choices. Quality of life and longevity have resulted from wealth, economic development and technology and as a consequence of increased food production. However, these amazing gains have not been equally distributed as seen by the fact that countries and societies are internally divided according to income levels. Luiz Afonso Senna will analyse the framework leading to sustainable urban mobility that can be consistently explained by the identification of measures, the action itself and the knowledge dissemination.
