The United Nations' Commission on the Status of Women brings together representatives from governments and NGOs from around the world to promote gender equality and the empowerment of women.

This year’s theme focuses on the link between women’s empowerment and sustainable development.

At a #CSW60 SIDE EVENT organized by the Gender-Environment Working Group, WRI’s Gender Initiative will share how WRI is assessing and working to fill gender data gaps, focusing specifically on gender in monitoring and evaluation within Global Forest Watch.
