Report Launch: National Modeling Study on Better Targeting of U.S. Farm Conservation Funds
This report launch - hosted by WRI - highlights the collaborated efforts of WRI and U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Conservation Effects Assessment Program (CEAP) Team on conducting an economic optimization analysis on reducing nitrogen, phosphorus, and soil erosion, as well as increasing soil carbon sequestration on U.S. cropland.
Senior Associate Michelle Perez will release a first-of-its-kind modeling analysis on targeting approaches for increasing the cost effectiveness of taxpayer spending on water quality-related farm practices.
At this event, Michelle will present the report’s findings and methodology while panelists from USDA and NRCS will help put the report into historical perspective and engage the audience in a discussion about next steps.
