Cities in Focus: Curitiba
EMBARQ - The World Resources Institute Center for Sustainable Transport invites international city and transport officials, urban planners, real estate developers, politicians and urban advocates to join us for the premiere of our latest short film profiling innovative examples of sustainable urban development, with a focus on transit-oriented development (TOD) and bus rapid transit (BRT), in Curitiba, Brazil. The film premiere will be followed by a panel discussion and Q&A.
EMBARQ's latest video documentary shows how Curitiba's transformative urban planning and transport initiatives have boosted economic development while improving mobility and quality of life.
The video is the most recent installment of EMBARQ's "Cities in Focus" series that documents best practices of sustainable transport in three- to five-minute videos of cities like Los Angeles, Istanbul, Mexico City, New York City and Mumbai.
Following the video screening, EMBARQ will moderate a panel discussion to share best practices, lessons learned and other experiences about sustainable transportation and urban planning in Curitiba and other world-class cities.
