Mario Rodriguez is a Project Management Associate in the WRI Ross Center for Sustainable Cities. He is responsible for leading operational project planning and delivering annual progress reporting, working closely with global teams in DC and international offices in 6 countries.

Prior to joining WRI, Mario worked for 11 years at the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB), as a Project Monitoring Expert and Project Management Associate. He worked with several divisions and project teams in Latin America and the Caribbean, contributing to design, execute, monitor, oversee and successfully achieve the development results of many projects and programs.

Mario holds a Master’s Degree in Management of Development Projects, a PMP certification and other studies. He loves project management, and is currently studying to obtain a PMI-ACP certification to improve his skills in agile methodologies. He is also planning to study another Master’s Degree.

Mario lives in Gaithersburg, MD with his wife Osyris.
