Edith Kalela is a development specialist in the Development team. She supports WRI's Africa fundraising and donor engagement by supporting proposal development, prospect research and donor meetings.

Prior to joining WRI, Edith worked as an institutional giving office focusing on grant management, proposal writing, report writing and donor liaison at Equality Now and as a grants writer at Hivos.

Edith holds an M.A. in Communication Studies from the University of Nairobi and a B.Ed. (English and Literature) from the Catholic University of Eastern Africa.

In her free time, Edith enjoys baking, reading and spending time with her family.
