Deepti Raj
Senior Associate, Energy Program, WRI India

Deepti Raj is a Senior Associate with the Energy Program at World Resources Institute India. She has more than eight years of experience in multi-disciplinary research, research pedagogy, monitoring and evaluation with a focus on social justice, inclusion and equity across the sectors. Her work focuses on clean energy for low-income, socially marginalized and climate-vulnerable groups.
She also worked on climate-led migration and resilience during the covid crisis. Prior to joining WRI, she worked as a research associate with the Centre for Policy Research. At CPR, her work included multidisciplinary research on WASH, Affordable Housing, OTT (Over the Top) Media, as well as research on urbanization, migration and residential segregation. She started her career as a communication professional with the Delhi Jal Board (DJB) working on water and wastewater services in the city including in informal settlements and engaged with a range of stakeholders, including marginalized and vulnerable sections of society.
She has a Post Graduate degree in Public Policy and Governance from the Tata Institute of Social Sciences, India, a PG Diploma from the Indian Institute of Mass Communication, New Delhi, and an undergraduate degree in Mass Communication. She also attended a certificate course in Data Science from the University of Gottingen, Germany.
