The event will spotlight the growing body of evidence, including recent WRI research, demonstrating that linking adaptation and mitigation action can enhance investment effectiveness and implementation, leading to more impactful climate outcomes. Moreover, these synergies can be built into economy-wide economic and development decision-making, maximizing benefits for people, nature and climate.

The event will highlight adaptation and mitigation linkages and synergies in multiple sectors — such as energy, nature, and urban systems — and identify how countries and multiple stakeholders can recognize and scale these for effective investment and implementation in whole-of-economy approaches.

Speakers will discuss concrete examples of actions already underway and policy pathways that strengthen resilience while also curbing emissions.
