
Accelerating Global Climate Actions via Subnational Leadership
The session aims to showcase subnational and local climate actions from the global south and how these are driving regional and global climate action. The session will put a spotlight on select climate champions, showcase peer to peer learning best practices as well as bring out leadership voices from the global south.
Objectives:
- Enable peer to peer learning among multiple stakeholders like CSOs, governments and other experts,
- Facilitate south-south collaboration on just transition, climate action and capacity building,
- Identify workable solutions and capacity building opportunities that can be scaled up/ replicated to other regions to accelerate climate action
The event is being jointly organized by Climate Group, WRI India and Race To Zero - The UN Climate Change High-Level Champions.
