September 30, 2010•5 - 6:30pm EDT
EMBARQ - The World Resources Institute Center for Sustainable Transport invites city officials, planners, transport practitioners, politicians and urban advocates to join us for the premiere of our latest short film profiling sustainable transportation policies and projects in New York City, followed by a panel discussion and Q&A with local experts.
EMBARQ is premiering its latest video documentary on New York City's recent initiatives to improve bicycling infrastructure, public space and bus rapid transit, made successful under the leadership of urban leaders like Mayor Michael Bloomberg and NYC DOT Commissioner Janette Sadik-Khan.
The video is the most recent installment of EMBARQ's “Cities in Focus” series that documents best practices of sustainable transport in three- to five-minute videos of cities like Los Angeles, Istanbul, Mexico City, Curitiba and Mumbai.
Following the video screening, EMBARQ will moderate a panel discussion to share best practices, lessons learned and other experiences about sustainable transportation and urban planning in New York City and other cities, including Washington, D.C.
