Juliana currently works as a Project Coordinator in the Climate, Economy, and Finance Program at WRI Colombia, where she supports the formulation and implementation of projects across multiple scales of action throughout the country.

She began her journey at WRI as a consultant, contributing to initiatives aligned with Colombia's Climate Agenda, including the implementation of the Nationally Determined Contributions (NDCs) and the Long-Term Climate Strategy (E2050). Her work focuses on biodiversity, ecosystem services, forests, and nature-based solutions.

Juliana brings over seven years of experience as a researcher and project coordinator at both national and district levels, having worked with institutions such as the Bogotá Botanical Garden José Celestino Mutis and the Colombian Agricultural Institute. She has been actively involved in the design, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of environmental projects, particularly those related to biodiversity conservation and ecosystem services in both urban and regional contexts.

She holds a Biology degree with honors from Pontificia Universidad Javeriana (Colombia) and a Ph.D. in Bioecosystems and Biotechnology from the Università degli Studi della Basilicata (Italy). Juliana has authored numerous scientific articles in national and international journals, along with other publications on conservation, biodiversity, urban ecology, and ecological interactions.

She enjoys mountain hiking and exploring cuisines from around the world. She lives in Bogotá, Colombia.
