Jenni LeBlanc
Director, Individual Philanthropy
Jenni joined WRI as Director of Individual Philanthropy in 2016. Her charter is to build and lead the major gift program at WRI. She works closely with WRI’s leadership and distinguished Global Board of Directors to build relationships on behalf of the Institute with passionate philanthropists.
Jenni has more than a decade of fundraising experience working with individuals, private foundations, and state and federal grant programs for NGOs in the environment, climate and conservation space.
Prior to joining WRI, Jenni led efforts to secure private and institutional support for the National Audubon Society’s new Climate Initiative. While in this role Audubon received the largest grant award ever received from a private foundation in its 109-year history. From 2009 to 2014, Jenni served as Vice President for Development at ecoAmerica where she effectively grew the organization from $1 to $6 million annually in five years.
Jenni holds a Masters of Natural Resource Management from the University of Denver, and a Bachelor of Arts in both Political Science and Women’s Studies from Hobart and William Smith Colleges.
