In Conversation with WRI Ross Center Prize for Cities Finalists
Join us during Climate Week NYC for an uplifting exploration of five groundbreaking projects that have demonstrated how to accelerate momentum for climate-ready communities. During this event, you will have an opportunity to hear from team members from all five of the 2023-2024 WRI Ross Center Prize for Cities finalists — mere hours before the Grand Prize Winner is announced — and take part in an engaging conversation on urban transformation in today’s world.
The WRI Ross Center Prize for Cities seeks to inspire urban changemakers across the globe by sharing compelling stories of urban transformation and building a dynamic network of innovators. All five finalist teams have demonstrated transformative impacts on their cities.
This cycle’s finalists are:
- Rodrigo Bueno: Climate-Resilient Housing (Buenos Aires, Argentina)
- Kham River Restoration Initiative (Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, India)
- Re-Ciclo (Fortaleza, Brazil)
- Green Community Schoolyards (New York City, United States)
- The Climate Budget (Oslo, Norway)
Join technical leads from the projects as well as leading urban thinkers and practitioners as we dive into the stories behind these transformative projects. How do we spur and sustain change? How do we balance climate action with equitable development? The event will feature presentations by the finalists, interactive conversations and a Q&A session.
Please bring identification for entrance into the building.
