David Leege is Global Director of Managing for Results at WRI. He leads the global Managing for Results team in developing a strong results-based monitoring, evaluation and learning culture and theories of change that advance the science and practice of measuring impact through the interconnected lens of people, nature and climate.

Prior to joining WRI, David worked for CARE as Senior Director for Impact, Learning, Knowledge and Accountability to develop strategies for impact at scale and program quality, while fostering a culture of organizational learning. He also previously led global, technical and country teams at Catholic Relief Services and served as an adjunct lecturer at several universities. He co-authored several peer-reviewed journal articles on university engagement in development. He currently sits on the Advisory Council for Emory University’s Master’s of Development Practice program.

David holds a PhD from the University of Montpellier I (France) in Agricultural Economics.

David lives in Atlanta, Georgia with his wife and two children. He is also an avid cyclist and gardener.
