Clare Blackwell
Research Analyst II
Clare Blackwell is a Research Analyst for the Urban Development team, working to support research and coordination for three global multi-year programs encompassing urban planning, public policy, and climate resilience.
Prior to joining WRI, Clare worked as a junior researcher with the Red Cross Red Crescent Climate Centre on climate-smart urban conflict recovery and helped publish a report on China's BRI initiative in Central Asia with the Oxford Silk Road Society. This followed several years as an environmental educator in New York City, and Clare continues to seek out opportunities to teach about the outdoors as often as she can.
Clare holds a M.Sc. in Nature, Society, and Environmental Governance from the University of Oxford and a B.S. in Anthropology and Environmental Studies from Tufts University. When not reading, writing, or teaching about environmental issues, she can be found sewing, crocheting, playing board games, or out kayaking on the nearest lake.
