Marina Garcia is Climate Finance Coordinator at WRI Brasil. She leads projects focused on developing studies, solutions, and recommendations aimed at expanding financing for climate adaptation and mitigation in Brazil, through a just transition lens.

Before joining WRI Brasil, Marina worked as a consultant at the United Nations University World Institute for Development Economics Research (UNU-WIDER). She also joined the Finnish Fund for Industrial Cooperation (Finnfund), where she was responsible for collecting and analyzing socioeconomic and climate impact indicators of investments, as well as supporting the preparation of sustainability reports.

Marina holds a Master's degree in Economics from Aalto University and the Helsinki Graduate School of Economics, in Finland, and a Bachelor's degree in Economics from the Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Sul (UFRGS), in Brazil, having completed part of her studies at the University of Coimbra, in Portugal.
