Josh Cohn is the Utah Watershed Health Coordinator for the US Lands team at Cities4Forests. He co-leads the Utah Resilience Fund, an innovative funding program that supports projects tackling catastrophic wildfire risk and strengthening watershed resilience across Northern Utah. In this role, Josh works closely with federal, state, and local partners to design and implement watershed health initiatives in two critical tributaries of the Great Salt Lake—the Weber River and Jordan River watersheds.

Before joining WRI, Josh worked as a project manager for the National Wild Turkey Federation (NWTF). In this role, Josh worked with the US Forest Service to oversee the Upper Provo Watershed Restoration Project– a decade-long forest and watershed resilience project. During his time at NWTF, he oversaw the implementation of more than 6,000 acres of forest and wetland restoration treatments across the Provo River Headwaters, a vital tributary of the Jordan River and a critical water source for the Salt Lake City metro area.

Josh earned his B.A. in Biochemistry from the University of Kansas and now makes his home in Salt Lake City. A passionate outdoorsman, he spends much of his free time mountain biking, hiking, trail running, and skiing in the Wasatch Mountains. Indoors, he’s an enthusiastic Kansas basketball fan (Rock Chalk!) and enjoys channeling his creativity through Dungeons & Dragons.
