Vanessa Otchere is the Communication and Engagement Specialist for the Restore Local team in Ghana. Vanessa will be spearheading digital content creation, narrative strategy, and coordinating all communication activities to amplify the Restore Local initiatives across Ghana.

Prior to joining WRI, she served as the Communication Specialist for the Governance programme at GIZ Ghana, where she provided high-level strategic communication advisory to support the effective implementation of good financial and local governance programme.

Vanessa is also deeply passionate about digital inclusion. Previously, she was the Communications Lead for PyLadies Ghana, where she leveraged communication and community engagement strategies to amplify their mission and empower young women to become active leaders in the Python open-source community.

Vanessa holds a Bachelor's Degree in Communication Studies from the University of Media, Arts and Communication (UniMAC) in Ghana.

When she isn’t crafting communication strategies or building digital narratives, Vanessa loves relaxing at the beach and exploring new food spots.
