Keith Stagg
Colorado River Basin Senior Manager, Cities4Forest
Keith Stagg is the Colorado River Bain Senior Manager for WRI’s Cities4Forests initiative, where he works to leverage conservation finance and collaborative partnerships to restore fire-adapted forests in the Colorado River Basin. Creating more wildfire-resilient forests can provide immense benefits for watersheds, communities, and the forests themselves. Keith’s work builds upon a decade of experience promoting healthy forests and their associated benefits as a conservation forester, and as a watershed program manager at two major water utilities. He also brings experience in forest carbon, FSC certification, and a foundation in water management and ecology in the American West that guides his program.
Hailing from Taos, New Mexico, Keith is a certified forester, holds a Master of Environmental Science degree from the Yale School of Forestry, and an undergraduate degree from Whitman College in Walla Walla, WA.
