Jane Pan is Raising National Climate Ambition Intern with the Ambition Pillar of WRI’s Climate, Economics, and Finance (CEF) Program. Her work contributes to the “2050 Is Now” project, supporting research and data analysis on national long-term low-emissions development strategies and how countries translate long-term climate commitments into near-term policies and implementation. Her broader interests include clean energy policy, carbon markets, and climate finance, particularly how policy and investment can translate climate ambition into credible, economy-wide action.

Before joining WRI, Jane worked as a Coordinator with Peace Boat US, supporting climate research and communications related to major global climate convenings, including Climate Week NYC and COP30. She also assisted IOC-UNESCO-endorsed youth programs helping elevate youth and civil-society perspectives on climate action.

Jane holds an MS in Environment and International Affairs from Georgetown University and a BA in International Studies and Sociology from the University of Washington.
