Mansie Hough is a Media Specialist in the Communications department. She works to develop and refine WRI's messaging across all its programs, platforms and geographies. In doing so, Mansie maintains relationships with members of the media, pitches and translates WRI's research for broad audiences, and evaluates the organization's reach and impact on its most pressing issues.

Prior to joining WRI, Mansie worked on public health communications in Edelman's DC office, acting as a media contact for journalists reporting on topics including preventive healthcare and infectious disease policy. Before working at Edelman, Mansie interned at Global Prairie, a social marketing firm, supporting its projects in the sustainability and health spaces.

Mansie holds a B.A. in Journalism and Mass Communications with a minor in Creative Writing from Washington and Lee University. At W&L, Mansie also played varsity volleyball and studied abroad in Dingle, Ireland.

Originally from St. Petersburg, FL, Mansie now lives in DC with her cat, Buffy. She still regularly plays volleyball around the city, whether she is staying true to her indoor roots or getting a more scenic backdrop at the Lincoln Memorial sand courts. Mansie also enjoys tumbling and gymnastics, traveling, and being outdoors.
