Caroline is a Research and Administrative Analyst at WRI's Energy Program. She works on clean energy procurement, industrial decarbonization, and related technologies. She is currently supporting the Asia Clean Energy Coalition and WRI's portfolio of energy work in Latin America.

Prior to this, she worked at WRI's US Climate program on chemical industry defossilization, state level carbon dioxide removal policies, and biomass. Before joining WRI, Caroline worked as a consultant and researcher. She worked on ESG-oriented innovation projects for the mining industry in Brazil, on topics ranging from digital transformation to circular economy.

Caroline holds a Master's degree in Civil Engineering with an emphasis on Water Resources and Environment, a graduate certificate in Environmental Sciences, and a Bachelor's degree in Geology — all from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ) in Brazil. She also co-authored an article on geodynamics published in an indexed international journal and holds a patent for mine tailings upcycling.

Caroline lives in Washington, DC with her husband and enjoys rollerblading, walking in nature, visiting museums, and spending time with her family and friends.
