Freya is Global Engagement Lead for the WRI Polsky Center for the Global Energy Transition, where she manages the Advisory Group and global partnerships. Previously, she worked in communications for the Climate and Cities teams at WRI, focusing on the New Climate Economy and Coalition for Urban Transitions.

Prior to joining WRI, Freya worked in communications and engagement for the UK Energy Research Centre at Imperial College London and the Environmental Change Institute at the University of Oxford. Freya has also worked at the Reuters Institute for the Study of Journalism and the Centre for Alternative Technology.

She holds an MSc in Environmental Politics and Policy and a BA in English Literature, both from the University of Leeds. She lives in Edinburgh, Scotland.
